  1. Overview:
  2.    This window is used to review all the checks, cash payments and
  3.       withdrawls that have been drawn against the current bank account.
  4.       In addition, by selecting the "Show deposits" option, you can
  5.       review deposits made to the current bank account.
  6.   
  7.       Cash payments are bills that were entered with the
  8.       "Already paid" option and no check number.  In addition, cash
  9.       payments are generated when paying bills for companies that 
  10.       have the "No checks" option set.  
  11.  
  12.       Withdrawls are amounts that were entered with the 
  13.       "Options - Enter Withdrawls" menu selection on this window.  
  14.  
  15.    Note that you can use this window to help reconcile your account 
  16.       by using the "Options - Clear Check" menu selection, then 
  17.       printing a "Check History Report" using the "Uncleared only" 
  18.       option.  This will produce a report of all checks that have 
  19.       not cleared the bank.  
  20.      
  21. Fields:
  22.    Starting date - Enter the starting date for check selection.  Only 
  23.       checks dated on or after this date will appear on the register.
  24.  
  25.    Ending date - Enter the ending date for check selection.  Only 
  26.       checks dated on or before this date will appear on the register.
  27.  
  28.    Show deposits - Check this box to view deposits for this account.
  29.       If checked, only deposits will be displayed.  
  30.  
  31.    Current balance - Current balance of the current bank account.  
  32.       This field is informational only.

  34. Buttons:
  35.    OK - This button will display the check register.
  36.  
  37.    Cancel - This button returns to the previous menu.

  39. Menu Bar:
  40.    File:
  41.       Exit - Leave this program.  An option will be presented to take
  42.          a back-up of all files.  This option is recommended.

  44.       Print - Print this window.
  45.  
  46.    Options:
  47.       Enter a Check - This option will open another window allowing 
  48.          you to enter a check written against this bank account.
  49.          Use this window when you have manually written a check and
  50.          need to record it in the check register.
  51.  
  52.       Enter a Deposit - This option will open another window allowing 
  53.          you to enter a deposit to this bank account.  Use this window
  54.          when you have deposited money into this account and need to
  55.          record it in the check register.
  56.  
  57.       Enter a Withdrawl - This option will open another window allowing 
  58.          you to enter a withdrawl from this bank account.  Use this
  59.          window when you have withdrawn money from this account and 
  60.          need to record it in the check register.

  62.       Clear Check  - This option will cause the selected check to be
  63.          marked as cleared through the bank.  You must first select 
  64.          the check you want to clear by clicking on it in the list box.

  66.       Show Details - This option will open another window showing all 
  67.          the fields for the selected check.  You must first select 
  68.          the check you want to see by clicking on it in the list box.

  70.       Mouse Double Click:
  71.          Clear Check - This option indicates that double clicking on 
  72.             a selected check should be interpreted as a "Clear Check"
  73.             option.

  75.          Show Details - This option indicates that double clicking on 
  76.             a selected check should be interpreted as a "Show Details"
  77.             option.

  79.    Windows:
  80.       Bank Accounts - Opens another window for bank account
  81.          information.  You can use this option to select a new
  82.          bank account, or change the account information.

  84.       Catagories - Opens another window for catagory information.
  85.          You can use this option to add a new catagory for bill entry.
  86.  
  87.       Check Register - You found this option, it is your current
  88.           window.

  90.       Company Information - Opens another window for company
  91.          information.  You can use this option to add a new
  92.          company for bill entry.
  93.  
  94.       Enter Bills - Opens another window to enter bills.  Bills 
  95.          can be entered as soon as they are received. 
  96.  
  97.       Pay Bills - Opens another window to select and pay bills.
  98.          Bills can be selected for payment by company, catagory, or
  99.          due date.

  105.       Error Messages - Shows all fatal error messages and their
  106.          corrective actions.
